Meet Chris
Founding Director & Chassis Engineer
Chris is the driving force behind Center Gravity, having founded the business out of a deep passion for optimising vehicle performance. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in chassis tuning, Chris has a reputation as one of the UK’s leading specialists in the field. His keen eye for detail and expertise in suspension dynamics means that every car is tuned to perfection, whether it's for road comfort or track performance. Chris works closely with every client, ensuring that each vehicle is tailored to the driver’s specific needs and preferences.
We asked Chris a bit more about himself, and he said…
Speciality: Ride analysis, particularly using seat of the pants-o-meter and internal gyroscope. Painstaking nod to factory-originality in suspension builds. Designing and creating new suspension configurations.
Experience: Many years (more than 10,000hours) of getting it right. Learning everyday approach. Learned, enjoyed and driven every one of the Porsche 911 models and ‘bucket list’ of cars including Lotus Europa, Rolls Royce and Jensen Interceptor.
Fun fact: I studied at the driving school of dad at 7 years old in my pedal kart. 3-point turns are my speciality.

Junior Chassis Technician
Ben is an integral part of the Center Gravity team, bringing energy, precision, and a rapidly developing skill set to every project. As a junior chassis technician, he supports the delivery of our meticulous suspension services, from tyre fitting through to full suspension rebuilds. With a growing depth of knowledge and hands-on experience with performance cars, Ben plays a crucial role in helping clients get the very best from their vehicles.
