Precision for Ultimate Control

At Center Gravity, we specialise in precision geometry alignment to help you unlock the full potential of your vehicle. Our expert service ensures that your wheels, axles, and suspension components are perfectly aligned, providing a smoother, more controlled driving experience and enhanced vehicle performance.

“Once agreed on the setup, the geometry was applied to the car and everything was torqued up. It was then back out on the road to check the settings and handover.

The shock came when driving down a bit of B road, I looked at the speedo and honestly thought it was misreading. The ride was so compliant that it felt like we were travelling 20mph slower.”

What to expect

We begin with a comprehensive inspection of your vehicle's wheel alignment and suspension geometry, tailoring every adjustment to match your driving style and your car's specific requirements.

Correct geometry alignment offers several long-term benefits, particularly for high-performance and specialist cars. It ensures maximum tyre contact with the road, improving grip and handling precision. Proper alignment also reduces rolling resistance, improving fuel efficiency and extending the life of your tyres through even wear distribution.

One of the most important aspects of alignment is safety. A properly aligned vehicle is more stable and responsive, especially during high-speed driving. Regular geometry checks also help maintain the overall condition and value of your car, making it a wise investment.

What results to expect from geometry

Improved Handling

Enjoy smoother cornering and greater control, whether you’re navigating urban streets or racing on a track.

Extended Tyre Life

Proper alignment prevents uneven wear, helping your tyres last longer and saving you money on replacements.

Fuel Efficiency

A well-aligned vehicle reduces rolling resistance, improving fuel economy and lowering your running costs.

Understanding Camber, Caster & Toe

Camber refers to the tilt of the wheel when viewed from the front. Positive camber means the top of the wheel tilts outward, while negative camber tilts it inward. For performance cars, a slight negative camber is often ideal, improving cornering grip. However, excessive negative camber can cause uneven tyre wear.

Caster is the angle of the steering axis when viewed from the side. Positive caster, where the steering axis tilts backwards, enhances straight-line stability and cornering ability, while also aiding in steering wheel self-centering.

Toe refers to the direction the wheels point when viewed from above. Toe-in means the front of the wheels point inward, and toe-out means they point outward. Proper toe alignment is key for maintaining stability and even tyre wear.

How we work

1. Inspection

We begin with a detailed inspection of your car’s suspension and chassis setup, understanding its current state and identifying areas for improvement.

2. Adjustments

Using state-of-the-art equipment, we fine-tune the suspension settings to align with your specific driving style and vehicle’s dynamics.

3. Road Testing

Finally, we test your car’s performance on the road, making any additional tweaks to ensure the chassis tuning delivers the desired results.
